Car accidents

last weekend northern minnesota had a partial blizzard. i was on my way to north dakota with my grandparents. my grandpa is a little older and i don't fall asleep while he's driving anymore cause i don't want to risk him falling asleep at the wheel. every once in a while he will shout out because he thinks he's falling asleep. i'm pretty sure he really is. so we driving about 30 miles an hour on the highway. all of the sudden i felt the car start to shift over. my grandpa began twisting the wheel this way and that way. it didn't quite seem real that we were actually going off the road. all the sudden, there we were, sitting on the side of the road.
i turned around to how far off the road we were, and saw a car coming toward us. they were going pretty fast and i knew they were going to hit us. i watched as they began to slide and then as the driver quickly turned the wheel and hit our back bumper. the car lurched forward and they went even farther into the ditch than we did. we sat there for about an hour, waiting for the highway patrol and a towtruck. i tried to call family. wouldn't you know it that the ONE spot that we were stuck in was, honestly, the only spot with not cell phone service.
right before we went into the ditch i had just been thinking that it was kinda cool how i was never the one in the ditch. God must have been proving to me that anything can happen. thankfully we were all safe and the damgage was minimal.
